You are never too young
–or too old –to learn to play the bagpipes or drums,
and we
are always
looking for new talent to join Crow Creek Pipes and
Drums.
It doesn’t matter
whether you’re an experienced piper, or someone who has always
dreamed of performing in a pipe band but never knew quite how to
go about getting started, we would love to find a place for you
in the organization.
Through our charter as a
non-profit organization, we are dedicated to teaching, promoting
and fostering quality playing of Scottish bagpipes and drums.
We provide free
weekly instruction to anyone who is serious about learning to
play either the bagpipes or the drums.
Our
performing members
have all been through this learning curve and they understand
the challenges of learning to play these difficult instruments.
It does not happen overnight. As
new students, most beginning pipers will spend several
months mastering fingering techniques on what is known as a
‘practice chanter’ before even picking up a bagpipe.
The reward, of course, comes in mastering a beautiful
instrument and performing with a professional pipe band.
Come
join us on Saturday morning!
We meet weekly for practice at the First Congregational
Church on Northern Lights Blvd.
9:00 to 10:00 A.M. each
Saturday morning is dedicated to new student instruction.
See you there! |
